Introduction to the TAIERI Trust

The Taieri Alliance for Information Exchange and River Improvement (TAIERI Trust) gathers together a unique multistakeholder group with one common interest, the health of the Taieri River.

The Taieri is New Zealand’s third longest river and one of it's most diverse catchments. It experiences a number of resource management issues.

Since 2001 representatives from the urban and rural community, University of Otago, central and local government and other resource management groups have come together to implement effective information sharing and ‘action on the ground’ projects.
